On Friday 12 November 2004 a working group was formed within the Integral Ecology and Sustainability Seminar convened by the Integral Institute in Westminster, Colorado. The group was involved in a workshop which used Dialogue as a process.

The framing context for the Dialogue was a response to the question: "Why is it that we can not know sustainability?"

The process involved:

• a centering meditation,
• a written expression of thought in words ~ creating instability of the context,
• a walking meditation on those words and a second expression ~ creating instability of content,
• a reflection of connection in drawn movement ~ creating inquiry of the content, and
• a passive reflection allowing arising ~ creating insight within context.
